5 ideas to transform today's emergency into a great opportunity

Business consultancy: the emergency from Coronavirus requires companies to make a drastic change. Here are 5 ideas to turn it into great opportunities!

What we are experiencing is asking important questions not only clearly in the world of entrepreneurship, but also in the world of business consultants who must necessarily equip themselves in order to play a new and fundamental role in this epochal passage that the world of Companies is located and will face.

We must ask ourselves a question first: how will our work and that of our customers evolve?

We need to give us an answer quickly and efficiently trying to find the answer to the question: what will our companies need when they leave?

Of everything! It could be the answer ... more obvious and banal therefore it is right to give meaning and order to "everything".

In these days we are putting together some ideas that respond to principles of logic:

1) The market has changed! It will not change ... today it has changed because it is still, tomorrow it will change because it will start again in a different way ..

We are all aware of it but nobody really knows how .. and then every market will have its changes ...!
Some certainties: physical departure, for example there is much talk of "shut in economy", insulation economics; well for some sectors, we are experiencing it, there will be a rapid transition to online, we think of food & beverage for example,

So even the simple baker will have to develop his e-commerce or in any case an online sales service in order not to be overlooked by a supermarket that also sells bread and bakery products online, rather than the chain of clothing stores that will increasingly have to be present online, finding ways not to lose the emotionality of the senses by stimulating values not related to price.

2) In the "new world" , companies must be able to stay and adapt and this certainly involves an investment in tools , skills, services ... therefore, you need fresh liquidity to be able to support companies towards change.

3) Companies and offices will become Smart , or so it is said, therefore they must be equipped, from the shop to the commercial activity, to the offices, to the manufacturing companies, with hw, sw, and lines to be able to manage the work virtually, for which it will serve an IT package especially for SMEs.

4) Never as today, companies have realized that not having numbers, cash, investments, margins etc under control is at least bankruptcy, therefore implementing controlling systems on the main economic and financial indicators will become indispensable beyond the regulatory obligations dictated, for example, by the new code on the business crisis, postponed to February 2021.

This applies to small and medium-sized companies in particular, little accustomed to management control, and today they are finding out what costs they will have to bear from here to June, which ones can procrastinate, which ones to cut.

If you do not have evidence of the numbers you are at the mercy of the sea, if you are under control you are on a boat and you can try to fight the waves by keeping your hands on the helm ...

Obviously this is an extraordinary situation, but whoever controls the numbers today will succeed, whoever does not control them will have serious difficulties.

5) All this change, together with the discomfort, will have to be addressed with the "mind" of the entrepreneur and with the mind of the employees because, in addition to frustration and fear, there will be a need for an important cultural leap.

Having a strategic plan to deal synergistically with all the 5 points mentioned above can transform an extraordinary emergency into a great opportunity , perhaps not for everyone, but for those who will have the courage to get really involved, certainly.
